Job Description

The System Manager of Imaging Services (MRI) is responsible for overseeing diagnostic imaging operations across multiple locations, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient services for inpatient, trauma/emergency, and outpatient care. This role works closely with the Director of Diagnostics to lead strategic planning, staff management, and regulatory compliance within the following imaging areas:

• Diagnostic X-ray
• Nuclear Medicine
• Ultrasound
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
• Computed Tomography (CT)
• Breast Imaging

The System Manager will play a key leadership role in optimizing department operations, developing policies, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Operational & Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with MQSA, ACR, OSHA, JCAHO, and other safety regulations.
• Oversee supply chain and inventory management for imaging services.
• Use data-driven insights to monitor and improve service quality and efficiency.

🔹 Team Leadership & Development

• Hire, mentor, and evaluate staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Promote collaboration between imaging departments and other hospital units.
• Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members.

🔹 Quality, Compliance & Patient Safety

• Maintain patient safety protocols, infection control measures, and quality assurance.
• Identify and address challenges affecting turnaround times and test accuracy.
• Oversee the preparation and review of department reports and analytics.
